Resume Basics
Best Resume Format for Freshers
The best fresher resume format depends on what proof you have. Do not force every student into the same layout.

Choose the section order based on proof
If your projects are strong, place projects before education. If your internship matches the role, place experience before projects.
For design roles, portfolio projects should be near the top. For campus placements, a balanced one-page layout often works better.
Use clean headings
Standard headings like Professional Summary, Skills, Projects, Education and Experience help recruiters and systems scan your resume.
Avoid over-designed headings that look interesting but hide the meaning of the section.
Avoid heavy visual elements
Photos, icons and columns can be useful in some templates, but your ATS version should stay readable and text-selectable.
If in doubt, choose a simpler template first and add visual style only when the employer context allows it.
